"Death of the 800 lb. Guerilla" created from January 2011-2012, it is an approximately 8x5 foot drawing done with ink brush and charcoal influenced by the Egyptian Revolution, which was subsequently dubbed by the media as the "Arab Spring". The work features a wide-eyed "gorilla" or "guerilla" brandishing an AK-47, and from the tip of the weapon is a ghostly twitter-bird. This piece was meant to reflect the death of terrorism as a means of resistance and a shift of power, as a result of social media, into the hands of the people.
