Nothing is unrelated in a city. To empty a building and leave a black spot in the city is something that somehow also affects the closest environment. So imagine the consequences of a hospital complex, with more than 150.000m2 in floor area.

We decided to tackle the project not from a complaining point of view, but tried to see it, instead, as an opportunity. The images depict a painful and rough transformation of each of the modules that joint the former hospital la Fe. A phisical transformation depicting a functional one. We wanted to show a building which evolves parallel to a society more and more aware of the importance of urban recycling. A building able to be reestructurated and to change in order to house new functions without need to be demolished and rebuilt.
