Pleiades is a Greek-speaking folk polyphonic singing female group. I was assigned to design their first album "Wandering Pleiades". I got inspired by their clean - vocal only - music and wanted to produce an earthly and clean cd case. I designed a single cut for the case which folds to host the cd and the booklet, without the use of glue.The artwork references the old bridges of Epirus and some traditional patterns of Epirotic knitware. The six Pleiades sit underneath the bridge and sing their songs. The case was printed on craft-like paper - taking advantage of the earthly tone and feel of the paper - and printed with pantone black and white.
