Kate was born in New Zealand in 1981. She holds a BFA, Auckland University. In 2012 she received an Asia: NZ Foundation artist residency at Three Shadows Photography Art Centre, Beijing.
Her constructed photography combines found materials, her own photography, and painted cardboard assemblages to “highlight and re-contextualize particular events and key moments from cultural and art historical discourse.”
